Shadow Of The End

Sneeba continued to wander towards them, her fur making her invisible in the harsh winds.

Konbei stopped, his hand instinctively drifting towards the hilt of his blade as he squinted into the whiteness of the blizzard.

"Hello?" Gwene asked, hoping someone was there. Konbei wasn't at her side, that must have meant that he went off to try and find a cure for her, she sighed, the more he went out, the more he exposed himself to it.

Sneeba stood still, and watched the two people. The girl had said she had only one friend left...

Konbei could just make out Sneeba's outline from where he was. He dropped his guard and rolled his eyes. "...It's just a yeti," he said.

Gwene looked at the bottle in her hand, could this be a trick? Either way, she was dying, this would slow down the process giving her time to set her affairs in order, or would end it quicker, so she didn't have to suffer.

She took the top off and began to drink it, it really did taste like lemons, and it was quite nice.

Steven squinted his eyes and looked to where Konbei had spotted the yeti. He took an arrow from his quiver and watched the creature with caution.

Sneeba stared at Steven, and then wandered towards him, until she was a few feet away from him.

"...uh, Girl want you." she said flatly.

Steven stepped back a bit and raised a brow. ".....Girl?"

Sneeba nodded as if it were totally normal. "And man with backpack, uh." she said.

Lyn whirled around, re-establishing her defenses as soon as Doloris disappeared. She tightened her grip on her sword, ready to swing it up in a defensive position for whenever, or wherever, Doloris reappeared.

Suddenly, Doloris appeared above her, and crashed down towards her with his claws extended.

Lyn swore heavily as she ducked downwards, putting her blade above her. Her knees trembled and her elbows tried as best they could to continue holding her blade as Doloris clashed against it, his claws pressing down on her blade, inching closer and closer to her infuriated face every second...

Steven lowered his bow and conserved his arrow. "I've.....been looking for them. You know where they are?" he asked coming closer as to follow the yeti.

Sneeba nodded and began to walk away.

Doloris grinned and went to slash at her eyes, when suddenly Callio's whip wrapped around his leg. He was pulled off her, and as he fell, his claws were embedded in the ground. He tried to pull them up, but he struggled a bit.

Outside, a huge shadow was suddenly cast over the Horde camp...

Lyn was grateful for Callio's assistance, but knew that now was not the time to stop and say thanks. Instead, she whirled around, swinging her sword behind her and slamming it down, hoping to slice off Doloris' claws before he could pull them out of the ground.

Doloris' claws were sliced from his body, and he stumbled back. He stared at the stumps for a moment, and then grinned as his hands seemed to grow back. He waved his hand, a sword appeared out of thin air and into his hand.

Lyn took a step backwards, her eyes slightly widening in shock as the stumps on Doloris' hands grew back. If this guy could regenerate any body part cut off... How the hell were they supposed to kill him?! Could he even BE killed?!

However, her resolve stood strong and unchanged- she would protect these people, or die trying. She grit her teeth, and, wielding her sword, ran straight towards him once again, slicing in an upwards diagonal strike.

Doloris slashed agianst the strike with his own sword, and pushed against her strike.

Steven glanced at Konbei as he left with Sneeba. "Farewell, familiar traveller."

"Hang on, wait," Konbei said. "Let me come with you. I could help you; I know these mountains better than anyone... And I've got to find a cure, I don't have a choice."

A warm energy filled Gwene's body, she felt as it spread from her head all the way down to her feet, it felt weird, but a good kind, when the feeling left, her entire body felt completely re-energized. She threw the sheets off of her and leapt from the bed, she felt great, even if it was only temporary.

She proceeded to walk through the house, looking for Konbei.

Nuala, who had stayed behind after Konbei insisted on leaving, looked up in surprise when she saw Gwene walking around the house as though she had never been sick.

"Hi!" Gwene said brightly "Where's Konbei?"
