If i lower it to 12, that means one person is seeded. If it's down to eight, it just seems to small.

Thats the term i use for when some one 'skips a round so to speak. Example. 9 and ten fight and ten wins. 11 and 12 fight and 11 wins. So now its ten and 11 fighting. ten wins so he goes to the finals because there is no one else to fight him...

Grab a sheet of paper and draw out a tournament thing. You'll see. It easier to draw then explain...
