The Forge

Zelda screamed out again but the Hooded Man clamped a hand over her mouth. He ran into Castle Town, and everyone moved away. People shouted and pointed as he ran past.

Gwene drew out one of her blades, in an attempt to stop the hooded man, she threw it at his back.

The blade hit the hooded man, but it didn't seem to faze him at all. He simply pulled it out of his back as he ran, and dropped it on floor.

Gwene scolded herself as she scooped up the blade as she went. She wasn't going to let this man get away.

Deserax fired off a few fire balls, trying to get him to drop the woman.

"Sheesh! Where are the guards when you need them?" Deserax said not even breaking a sweat from running.

A number of guards noticed the hooded man run through town. They tried to give chase, but he was simply to fast for them; even when carrying Zelda over his shoulder. They soon lagged behind, but did not give up the chase.

Ankoku too was trying to go after the hooded man despite being rather short (around 4'9'') and having an around 70 lbs heavy metallic staff on his back

The Hooded Man rounded a corner, and pushed over and bunch of crates to block their path.

The crates were nothing to Gwene as she leapt over top of them, still in pursuit of the hooded man that had kidnapped her best friend.

The Hooded Man suddenly leapt up to one of the buildings, jumping up to a huge height and landing with a thud on the roof.

Gwene quickly ducked down one of the side alleys and climbed up one of the ladders leading to the roof, when she saw the hooded man, she sped after him, leaping from rooftop to rooftop to catch up to him.

A fireball suddenly zoomed towards the hooded man.

Ankoku instead had... less luck than Gwene, to say the least, as he was hit in the face by at least two crates and slamming against two, somehow getting barely slowed down by the pain in question and managing catch up by remaining down so he could go after the Hodded Man from down below

Deserax saw Gwene run down the ally and the kid get hit in the face. Deserax looked for a way to get up on the roof tops, then spotted the small stands. Deserax grinned and used one of the crates that was holding food and used that to get up on the tarp. Once on it, he found it was tightly held. He bet, if he jumped enough, he could get on the roof. He did just that and did a front flip to land on the roof, leaning on his knee. He then got up and started running after the Hooded man, shooting a few fire balls once more at him.

A second volley of fireballs accompanied Deserax's, fusing together to create massive attacks that zoomed towards the hooded man.

The Hooded Man flicked his cloak towards the fireballs, and they seemed to be wipped away by it.

Deserax saw the fire balls and could only think of one other person.

"Prometh!" Deserax shouted as he kept running.

Ayleth's expression was one of happiness. "I wonder if they liked the song?" she asked quietly.

Carol walked around the outskirts of Castle town, looking for the Whispering Man's tent. She was told that he could tell her where to go if lost. Finally she spotted it. "e-excuse me, mister? i was told that you can help me" she stood just outside, trying to decide whether it would be polite or not to enter.

"..come in..." came the Whispering Mans voice.

"...I wonder." Atticus said, smiling as he rubbed the spot on Ayleth's belly where the he had felt the kicks. "Hopefully. Then they'll have my taste in music."

"Well, you do have a fine taste in music," she laughed. "Perhaps they'll inherit my mathematical skill. Then they'd be excellent composers!" She rubbed her belly thoughtfully. "Would you like to go visit Telma?" she asked. "I haven't spoken to her in three whole days."

Atticus nodded. "I suppose it would be nice to go for a walk." he said, getting to his feet and offering her his hand.

Carol entered, hands clasped infront of her nervously. "thank you" she said sheepishly

The Whispering Man didn't look up at her. He stared at the deck of cards infront of him. "Take a card..."

Ayleth gripped his hand lightly, and got to her feet. "I wonder how she's faring without me."
