LoZ: Dark Times

Three more Stalfos crawled out of the ground. One armed with an axe, another with two longswords, and the last one with a thorny mace.

Lyn raised an eyebrow.

"Well," she said with a short, dry laugh, "This should at least keep things interesting..."

The one with the mace attacked first. It charged in with a heavy swing of its mace. The others followed close behind.

Quickly ducking the swing of the mace, Lyn used the weight of her broadsword to weigh her down, and, placing her hands (still holding her sword) on the ground, quickly swiped her legs out at the approaching Stalfos, hoping to knock its feet out from under it.

The move was succcessful, for the Stalfos fell on its back. The other Stalfos took this oppurtunity to strike. The axe Stalfos raised its weapon and swung down while the other one waited for Lyn's next move.

Sicarye countered the other Stalfos' swing, parrying and slashing at its knees.

"The Sacred Grove..." Konbei pondered. "I think I can remember how to get there, but it's huge... What does this spirit even look like?"

Gwene shook her head "I'm not sure. But for starters, lets just go there."

"Should've figured it wasn't going to be so straight forward," Konbei commented. "This way..." he said and started down a track that would lead them deeper into the forest.

Lyn wasted not a moment- as soon as the Stalfos she tripped was on its knees, she was up and sliced her blade quickly, beheading it in one move. She didn't even have time to avoid the first one's swing- but luckily, in her attack of the fallen one, she'd moved out of the second one's range. With one down and two to go, she leapt off the first one and took a few steps back, re-evaluating the fight.

The Stalfos attacking Sicarye was cut down by his counter. It was now desperately swinging at his legs while on the ground.

The axe Stalfos took a step forward and drew its weapon back for a heavy swing.

Gwene followed closely, so as to not get separated from him.

Dalikos and Deserax stood ready to go at any moment.

"ready Prometh?" Deserax asked.

"I am, lad." the attorney nodded.

"Prepare yourselves."

In a flash of fire the infirmiry was out of view, completely replaced by the open night sky and the nearby sound of running water.

"Here we are." Prometh said, walking towards the water. "The Eldin Spring."

Shadow watched as all three groups left- Lyn and Sicarye to Ordon, Konbei and Gwene to Faron, Prometh and the two brothers, Dalikos and Deserax to Eldin... Last but not least, were Thorne and Cyrus, who were bound for Lanayru. Shadow looked over at them, raising an eyebrow expectantly. Could they not teleport as well...?

Dalikos walked with Prometh, but Deserax stayed back for a moment to look at the surroundings.

"Not as good as the Death mountain one, but that's my preference."

Prometh walked ankle deep into the clear water, scanning the area for any signs of the spirit.

On the top of the waterfall and up to the water's plateau, almost hidden behind the clump of rocks, was a faint shimmer of light... If the travelers were to somehow get close to it, perhaps something would happen... But how would they reach it, so far away...?

((That's directed at the Eldin group, right?))

Prometh was the first to notice the small shimmer of light by the rocks.

"Dalikos, do you see that?" the attorney asked, pointing to the sparkle.

Dalikos looked into it and saw the sparkle.

"I see it, but i don't think i can fit through the rocks to gt to it."

The attorney turned to look at the lad behind him.

"What about Deserax?"

Konbei and Gwene eventually made it to the more wild part of the wood, the Sacred Grove. He drew his sword as he entered the dim forest, the trees rattled and rustled unnaturally and were pressed tightly together in parts.

"If you ask me, something doesn't feel right." Gwene said, drawing out her sword also.
