Feast of Veritas (Continued)

(Almost. I would have stopped at the ankles.)

With Cyrus distracted by Dalikos, Konbei made another attack towards Gwene. He went to hold her head back and slash her throat.

Gwene could feel that her plan wasn't working, she opened her eyes to see she was about to be attacked, she tried to move but his grip on her was too much.

Konbei seemed to hesitate for moment before he went to draw his blade across Gwene's throat.

Gwene was petrified to the point where she couldn't move, she spotted Nuala nearby "Help!"

Nuala spun around in time to see Konbei about to kill Gwene. His blade sailed dangerously close to her skin, about to break through it when Nuala snatched for his wrist and forced it away, saving Gwene by only milliseconds.

Konbei turned on Nuala and elbowed her in the face. Her head snapped back when his strike connected and and Konbei turned back to Gwene, ready to strike again.

Gwene quickly leapt to her feet and turned to face Konbei, trying to follow his movements and avoid them accordingly.

Threads of darkness lashed around Konbei's wrists, stopping him from stabbing Gwene.

"Gwene, take his weapon!" Nuala said.

Gwene quickly leapt forward and tried to pry his katana from him.

Konbei was forced to let go of his katana, rendering him weaponless.

Gwene held his katana, but not in an attacking pose, she slowly backed away from him, not realising how close to the edge she was.

Dalikos, having Cyrus' ankles trapped, made a rather big water ball. He shot it right at him then suddenly removed the ankle prison, to try and stun him.

Gwene took the next step into nothingness and fell over the edge, she quickly grabbed ahold of a nearby loose rock, to keep herself from falling, she had thrown the katana back up.

Cyrus tried to deflect it with his water control, but using the wind gust he did before had drained him somewhat, it impacted with him and slammed him hard into the opposite wall, he slid down and fell into the abyss.

Nuala's instinct told her to release Konbei and dive for Gwene, but while Nuala was distracted trying to save Gwene, Konbei saw his Katana lying on the ground and quickly picked it up.

Gwene tried to pull herself up to the edge, but felt the branch beginning to pull from the wall, she tried to find another hold, but couldn't.

Nuala reached as far over the edge as she could to Gwene. "Gwene..." she strained, stretching her hand towards her. "Hurry up!"

Gwene saw Nuala's hand and stretched up to reach it, she was completely terrified but tried to hide it well.

No matter how far she stretched she couldn't reach, she had to pull herself up, but that could dislodge the branch, she didn't have a choice, she slowly pulled herself up so as to reach Nuala's hand.

She had almost reached it when the branch finally gave way, Gwene made a lunge to grab Nuala's hand, but missed and fell into the deep abyss, her terrified scream echoing around the room.

(Oh my god D: Who the fuck is left?)

(Dane and Nuala. Reaction time, yes?)

(Nah Dane went down the abyss first...)

(Ah... Well, just Nuala then. What is she going to do against the two of them?)

(I don't know..... :S I might wait for Theo to see if he has anything planned. Though it would be interesting to see an RP where the bad guy wins for once...)

Nuala clenched her hand into a fist when she failed to save Gwene. But she didn't have time to miss her right now as she only just managed to roll out of the way of Konbei's sudden strike. His blade struck the floor right next to Nuala and she jumped up and seperated herself from him. She looked between Konbei and Dalikos, quickly noticing she was the last one left.

Dalikos she didn't care about and would kill him without thinking twice, but Konbei... it was obvious she wouldn't kill him.

Dalikos cracked his neck. Only one to go. He looked at Nuala, then at Konbei. For a moment, a thought crossed his mind about letting Konbei deal with Nuala. He grinned and just leaned on a near by wall, until Konbei did something, or Veritas showed back up to give him something to do.
