Name: Dance of Dragons

Plot: Approximately 800 years after Twilight Princess... Hyrule's presidential election is being held. The candidates? Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule is the candidate of the Nationalist Party, while Zant Twilian is the selected candidate of the Militant Party. 

Daphnes, descendant of the Hyrulian Royal Family, has the support of the traditionalist Hylians, but Zant is fueled by the power and money of Ganondorf Dragmire, business tycoon and national celebrity. 

Not to mention, Daphnes' wild daughter Zelda doesn't help his public reputation. Though her party-girl escapades are popular with the day's youth, the majority of his followers find her a bad role model for their own children.

Despite Zelda's rep, she is undisputedly the most intelligent young woman of her time. Still, nobody cares to heed her drunken blatherings about the Order of Shade or her warnings about Ganondorf and Zant.

The pivitol moment comes with Daphnes' assasination - Zant takes office without competition, and leads Hyrule into an era of military control and governmental corruption. Zelda's father's company is left in her name, and responsibility is for the first time thrust upon her frail shoulders. Zelda ends up losing the battle for her company to Ganondorf, who becomes the primary owner in her place. 

The young millionare and her guard, Impa, suddenly vanish without a trace. Her friend Midna, neice of the dictator Zant, knows something about it, but she's not talking. Those who oppose the rule of Zant disappear overnight, and young recruits in the army are said to be brainwashed. There is a national alert to be on the lookout for a boy with the Holy Mark on the back of his hand, which frightens the homeless boy Link (the one with such a mark) and his friend Malon, sending them on the run from their own country.

Link finds himself on a journey to uncover the truth - and save the land from an ancient and forgotten evil.

The RP will begin a month before Daphnes' death.

Canon Characters (Major):

Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule - The technical King of Hyrule. Though the power of the Royal Family has been greatly reduced since the olden days, he is still a prominent and influential figure in modern Hyrule. He is descended from the long line of royalty that ruled in days past, and is the most popular candidate in the presidential election.   

Zelda Hyrule - Daphnes' young daughter. Though she has a reputation as a rebellious party-girl, her intelligence and wit is unmatched. She has a bad reputation in the public eye, is weary of Ganondorf and Zant, and often spews nonsense about the Order when intoxicated. She also bears the Holy Mark on the back of her hand.  

Link - A young mute homeless kid who lives on the streets of Lanaryu City. He devotes his time to community service and often eats at the soup kitchen. It is unknown where he recieved his training in the blade, but he is a master. He bears the Holy Mark, too.  

Malon - A kind girl from the country; she often helps out at the local animal shelter and is devout in community service. She has a crush on Link.

Ganondorf - A wealthy Gerudo business tycoon. Ganondorf's disdain of the Royal family is well-known, though it is thought to be because of their lax policies and traditional values. Unbeknownst to the general public, he also runs a very profitable drug business, and is a main developer of recreational drugs. Extremists believe he is part of the Order.  

Midna - Zant's neice. She is the princess of the Twilight Realm, and an aquaintence of Zelda's. The two get along well due to their shared love of clubs, parties and drugs.

Zant - Ganondorf's favored presidential candidate. He is a Twili, but as the race has become more accepted throughout Hyrule, and the Twilight Realm is bonded with Hyrule, he is surprisingly popular amongst the Hyrulian people. His promise of stricter policies and military support make him hard to beat. Many Extremeists believe him to be part of the Order. 

Seven Sages - Seven with pure hearts. The tradition of them judging the future ruler of the land has long been in effect, and it has become expected. However, as it is not law, the future ruler is not required to pass their tests.

Sages:

Impa - The head of Daphnes' personal family guard, the Sheikah. She is Zelda's best friend and is like a mother to her.

Ruto - The princess of the Zora race. She's a very skilled swimmer and is on the lookout for a handsome husband.

Saria - The delegate of the Kokiri race. Saria is a very wise girl, and the peacemaker of the Sages. She's also a conservationist and participates in many nature protection programs.

Daurnia - Chief of the Goron tribe. Daurnia is the national head of construction, and an expert on archeology and rare gems. 

Nabooru - The representative of the Gerudo Tribe. Nabooru is trusted as the head of Foreign Affairs.  

Raru - A candidate for Vice President. Raru is a wealthy partron of Zelda's college, and funds the education of many homeless children.

Name: The Legend of Zelda: The Sacred Dragons

Backstory: Upon the successful creation of the land of Hyrule, the goddesses took their leave, but another deity existed, one of the land, rising from the earth that was created, a mystical dragon rose. Breathing onto the land like a licking flame, life grew, the woodiest of forest’s , the greenest of grasses, and the deadliest of deserts. Those that took refuge gave the dragon a name they hold dear to their hearts, Vita, the Dragon of Life.

For the next 500 years, the land was seen through a golden age, thanks to the mystical Dragon of Life, the oceans provided the freshest of fishes, whilst the land provided the juiciest and healthiest of fruits and vegetables. However, there was one, one who wished to take this power for their own, an evil sorceress with an unending lust for more power. Hoping to take the dragons power for her own, she attack the land relentlessly, drawing the dragon out. The two fought with unknown powers, leaving a wrecked trail across the land, their final stand lead them to the largest city of the land, in a moment of advantageous proportions, the Ancient Dragon sealed the Sorceress’ powers deep inside the Temple of Dragons, and defeated the sorceress.

However, the power could not be sealed properly, in a final attempt to rid the land of the evil plaguing it, the Ancient Dragon gave its life to rectify the seal, and properly seal the sorceress’ power deep inside the Temple of Dragons, behind a sealed door with an equally powerful seal.

In the aftermath, four new dragons rose from the earth, the offspring of the Ancient Dragon. After helping the land back to its former glory, the dragons took their leave, one flew north, another south, and the final two east and west. A shrine in each of the regions was built in their honour and there they have lived in worship and uninterrupted sleep.

I am writing this letter to you to open up channels of trade routes that
I believe will be beneficial to both our countries.
If you wish to discuss this further, we would love to have you pay a visit
to our country to discussa treaty between our two fine lands.
We would love to hear a reply from you as soon as possible.

Zelda replied to the letter expressing her acceptance to the trade routes and made plans to travel to the northern coast north of the Snowpeak Mountains, that was the land of Vita.

She, Link and a group of Hyrule's finest warriors are currently travelling to the land of Vita.

Name: Dark Times

Plot: The Kingdom of Hyrule was a peaceful place ruled by the kind King Daphnes III, with his daughter, Princess Zelda, at his side. However, near the Princess' 18th birthday, a dark force invaded the kingdom- and, hoping to take the chaos of the invasion as an opportunity and distraction, Daphnes' jealous older brother, Arthur II, seized his change- and murdered his brother in cold blood, wanting to take the throne for himself. He placed the blame on the invaders, and the king's death was mourned. However, soon after, Zelda was named Queen in his absence- and Arthur knew, in order to truly be King, he would have to kill Zelda next, as well.

However, before such a plan could come to fruition, a young hero by the name of Link was able to conquer the darkness and rid the land of its foes. Not long after, to Arthur's dismay, Zelda and Link became engaged. Link would soon become the next King of Hyrule. Arthur knew he could not wait any longer- and enacted his plan to murder the Princess of Hyrule. Unfortunately, his plan went horribly awry- and he could not get Zelda alone. Instead, her hero Link charged in to save her- and ultimately paid the price. By mistake, Arthur had murdered Link instead of Zelda.

This time, Arthur was not so lucky with getting away with his crime. He was found- but not caught. He had already learned all he needed to know- and so fled the kingdom of Hyrule, taking with him some knights and soldiers loyal to him. The Kingdom began to fall to shambles- a murderer had already taken out their beloved King, now their hero, and everyone knew the Princess was next. Zelda was desperately trying her best to keep things in order, but Arthur knew- now was his chance.

Now was his chance to assemble his army- and lead a full-on assault against the castle itself, and take it by force.

The Kingdom is in dire need of those to step up to the plate and join the fight against the mad dark sorcerer Arthur. But with the might of the Dark World's Magic at his side, who knows what sort of villains might be joining instep with his malicious plans...

Races: Hylian, Sheikah, Gerudo, any dark monsters, etc (Basically, any humanoid race that typically appears in the Zelda games is fine. No Zoras, Gorons, etc.)

Games it ties into (if any): This is a generic Zelda game, minus Link. That means everyone is the hero! (Or would you rather join Arthur in his mad quest for the throne?)

The New World

Plot: For years, everyone has assumed that there is nothing to be found outside of charted territory; what we call the Great Sea. But, recently, whispering have been heard...that there really is something out there. And upon the arrival of an excited explorer claiming to have found said land, it would appear these rumours are correct.

Everyone want a slice of the action, and Tetra and Link are gathering a crew to go and chart out this land. Many dangers lie ahead, but also a collection of species that were thought to have been lost to to the waves...will the heroes be able to defeat the evil that lurks this new land?

Races: All except Twili, Zora, Goron and Gerudo; these species, will come in later in the story. When they do come into play, this is when you will be able to introduce characters of these species into the story.

Name: Dark Lullaby    

Plot: It is universally known that Light and Darkness have a fragile balance in the world as we know it. Darkness may rise to tip that balance, but Light shall always prevail and beat it back into submission, keeping the harmony and peace.

It turns out all along that the Guardians of these powers, the brothers Lux and Nox, have been the source of many power struggles.

The Triumvirate of Shades is composed of three Guardian Gods under Hylia - Nox, Guardian of Darkness, and the oldest of the three; Lux, Guardian of Light, the middle child; and Aria, Guardian of Shadows, and the youngest. The three play a game of scales in Hyrule's history, balancing the good and evil in the world whilst Hylia upholds the law and protects the Triforce and the Fierce Deity guards the land. Nox's job is to disperse a "Pandora's Box" of sorts in Hyrule. Lux gives hope and virtue. Aria is neutral.

Nox is very selfish and jealous of his brother for being favored. He starts his play several times throughout history, trying to overcome the light - but always fails and is beaten back into submission.

Nox has finally had enough of Light. He takes matters into his own hands with some help from the Time Guardian, and selects several battles in time so that he may twist the odds in his favor.

Of these battles, he selects:

Skyward Sword (Hyrule's Beginning)

Ocarina of Time (Timeline Splitting)

Twilight Princess (Child Timeline)

Wind Waker (Adult Timeline)

He creates portals and fragile threads to bind the universes together, and then decides to play his game, by incarnating himself into a mortal form and "guiding" the villians to the win.

This all happens before the games actually start, so things are still the same; however, the more Nox interferes, the more the plot and fate of the universe changes, and it ends up becoming different from the actual LoZ game.

Nox's interference comes at a price though - the more he aids the evil, the more the worlds and times come together, until people begin to find themselves sucked out of their own universe and into another. This provides the interesting point of multiple versions of a character meeting themselves.

Anyways, the good OCs will band together in each universe (possibly with their respective Links and Zeldas) and they will try to defeat the bad guy. After several failed attempts and such, they'll eventually a) uncover the existence of the Triumvirate and take nesscessary measures or b) begin to meet with OCs in other worlds.

I need help on the bosses, extra heros/villians, and plotting details.

Name: Tenuous State

Plot: About three years ago, the queen of Hyrule became deathly ill from a mysterious disease. When conventional medicine and magics failed to cure her, the king sent out a call to all the healers, sorcerers, alchemists, and doctors in the land, promising great riches and fame to anyone who could cure his dying queen.

Scores of practitioners from all across the lands came to answer the call. Despite their best efforts, there was no magic, medicine, potion, ritual, or appeal to the gods that could improve her condition. All seemed lost until a familiar robed figure emerged from the shadows and presented himself to render aid: Facade.

Naturally, they were suspicious. He had tried to conquer Hyrule in the past and was the leader of a cultish group of partisans, the Forsworn Army. However, he professed that he had turned over a new leaf and abandoned his old religion to become a follower of the three goddesses. He offered to cure the queen in exchange for amnesty for himself and his followers and promised to answer for their crimes should he fail. Besides, he added, what other choice did they have?

Reluctantly, they permitted him to try. With the aid mysterious magics and a simple song, the queen was miraculously cured and was up and about mere hours after the treatment. The king was overjoyed and held up his end of the bargain. In fact, he even went one better and granted Facade a position as the official court sorcerer.

At first it seemed that his intentions were benign, but bit by bit it seemed that the suspicions of him were not unfounded.

As the years went by, the king and queen started making fewer and fewer public appearances, members of the Forsworn Army began appearing in the ranks of the royal army as "auxiliaries", and Facade began establishing his own personal guard from their ranks.

Worse, diplomatic relations with the local tribes has began to deteriorate: The people of Ordon began decrying crushing taxes, even though they had not been raised for almost 20 years. The Zora have become increasingly hostile and insular, and any envoys sent to negotiate with them have not returned. Likewise, the Gorons and other tribes have seemingly cut off contact with the outside world altogether. To make matters even worse, the technologically advanced kingdom of Labrynna has become increasingly belligerent and trying to goad Hyrule into open war. If Facade is indeed behind these events as Princess Zelda and some others believe, he has covered his tracks well.

Regardless, if action is not taken soon, Hyrule will be ripped apart by war between former allies. For any heroes or would-be's, there is no better time than now to come to the defense of all they hold dear, but any aspiring or established villain could certainly turns these events to their advantage...
