Dearly Departed

When they arrived Niamh looked around the place, the look on her face was priceless, surprise and delight.

"What do you think?" Gwene asked with the biggest grin on her face.

Niamh didn't answer, she just continued to look around.

Gwene looked at Konbei "I think she approves."

Konbei flashed a smile at Gwene. "Hey, Niamh," he said, walking up behind her. "Do you wanna live here?"

"Do you mean it?!?" Niamh almost shouted in glee.

Gwene couldn't help but laugh a little.

Konbei shrugged and pretended he was thinking about it. "Hmm... Maybe..." he said to tease her.

"Pleaaase Papa! It would be so much fun here!" Niamh pleaded with her father.

"Alright," Konbei said and laughed at her pleading.

Niamh shrieked with glee, she leapt at both her parents and did her best to wrap her arms around the both of them.

Gwene picked up Niamh and allowed her to hug her, she held out an arm welcoming Konbei over.

Konbei put his arm around Gwene's waist again. "You gonna help build a house, Niamh?" he said.

Niamh nodded enthusiastically "Yup!"

Gwene wrapped her arm over his shoulders. "Where should we build it?"

Niamh peered over Gwene and Konbei's shoulder, looking for a nice little spot. She came across one over by the water srping "There!"

Gwene nodded her approval, Niamh had indeed chosen a good spot, a nice distance from the hot spring and it was nice and cool over there, and close to the water supply "That is a very good spot, don't you think?" Gwene looked to Konbei's approval.

"Should be fine," Konbei said.

Gwene put Niamh down and she explored the area, she watched her with her arm still over his shoulders "We couldn't have got a more perfect child. She's just so... just so...... I don't know what to say, she is perfect in every way."

"I know what you mean," Konbei said. "She's so much fun."

Niamh had made her way to the fruit and began to pick some.

Gwene looked at Konbei "Yeah. If we have more, I hope they turn out like her."

"He didn't come through here at all after that?" Dane asked, rather desperate for any kind of lead.

Nuala sighed. "Look, I understand that you want to find him but I hardly know him well. Why don't you ask around the castle?"

"Woah... One step at a time, huh," Konbei said.

"Because nobody has seen him in five years." Dane stressed. "If he was anywhere near people I wouldn't be wondering where he was."

"A girl can dream, can't she?" Gwene said with a grin.

"I don't know what else to tell you, Dane," Nuala said. "Is there any place outside of Hyrule he may have gone? Or perhaps working out what happened to you might point you in the direction..." Nuala said.

"Enough dreaming for now, alright," Konbei said.

Gwene gave him a sad look, but she was only teasing.

Konbei looked at her and cocked an eyebrow. "Stop it," he said.

Gwene couldn't keep a straight face and it broke into a grin.

Dane shook his head. "I can't think of anyone unless..."

A idea suddenly popped into his head. "Avlyn."

"Who now?" Nuala said.

Niamh walked over to Gwene and Konbei "Can we show Aunty Celeste and Aunty Zelda?"

Gwene looked at Konbei and nodded "I don't see why not." a sudden idea came to Gwene "I know, why don't we have a picnic lunch and invite everyone to come along?"

Niamh couldn't contain her excitement "Really?!? Can we?!?!"

Gwene smiled and looked to Konbei "Can we?"

"My old teacher. She and I traveled the world back when I was a kid. He might've gone out in search of her, to see if she knew anything. I don't know who else he would go to."

Dane bolted out the door, but not before thanking Nuala for her help.
