Dearly Departed

A recent chain of disappearances around Hyrule has lead to an investigation in the matter, it has been happening for the past 6 months and so far no bodies have shown so they have been presumed dead without sign.

Rumour has spread throughout Hyrule that a mass murderer is responsible and rewards have been posted for their capture.

Attics paced back and forth outside his nephew's estate. He tried banging on the door again.

"Hey! Dane! Open up!"

No answer.

"I'm really starting to get pissed nephew! Open the door or I'll break it down!"

Still no answer.

"Okay! You asked for it!"

Using his shoulder, the one-eared captain rammed into the finely decorated door. After each ram the door gave way more and more until it finally fell inside.

Attics rotated his arm to shake the shock out. "Well, that was easy eno--"

The soldier stared wide-eyed at the mess in front of him. Bookshelves toppled over, fragments of porcelin vases and stone sculptures on the floor, the chandelier swinging by a thin thread of rope.

"What the Hell?" Attics whispered as he searched the many rooms for his nephew.

Dane was nowhere to be found.

Gwene sat at Lake Hylia, her boots, tights and weapons lay in a pile near her while her feet were dipped in the waters of the cool lake.

This was her first day off in almost two months, Rausten had worked them all tirelessly to catch up to who or what was causing all the disappearances.

She sighed, she hadn't seen Konbei in that time and missed him like mad.

Attics knew who to talk to. He ran to the castle to find Rausten. When he finally found the General he stopped, panting for breath.

"They've...got...my nephew."

Deserax hit the wall right as he entered the door to his house. He slammed the door shut and flopped on the couch.

"Dalikos, where the hell have you gone for six months!?" Deserax shouted in his mind. Ilene came downstairs.

"No luck?" She asked. Deserax's responce was another fist against a wall. Six months had gone by with no sign of Dalikos.

"Miss me?" Konbei said, walking up behind Gwene and sitting next to her. "It's about time Rausten gave you some time off."

"Konbei!" she squealed in delight, she leapt into his arms and pulled him into a bone crushing hug.

"Hey," Konbei laughed. "Enthusiastic much?"

"Sorry." She giggled "I haven't seen you in so long and I'm so happy to see you."

"Yeah, me too," Konbei said. "Rausten's been working you pretty hard lately, hope it's not all for nothing."

Gwene climbed off of Konbei after her tackle hug "Yeah. Unfortunately, we haven't come up with anything since it started. They are hiding their tracks well."

"Yeah, well, just be careful," Konbei said, looking at her seriously.

"I will." Gwene said with a smile. She then moved and sat across his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Seeing as we haven't seen each other in a long time, let's make the most of it." she grinned.

Konbei smiled and gave her a kiss.

Gwene then began to push Konbei so he was lying on the ground, she locked lips and enjoyed being back with Konbei again.

Attics knew who to talk to. He ran to the castle to find Rausten. When he finally found the General he stopped, panting for breath.

"They've...got...my nephew."

Rausten sighed. "Alright, do you know where he was last?"

Attics finally began to catch his breath. "I was supposed to meet him at his house. It's in upper Castle Town, big fancy place. When I got there the whole place had been ransacked."

Rausten rose from his seat "Take me there."

Attics nodded and brought the General to his nephew's estate. Attics had hastily put the door back up, but it was slanted inwards and clearly not connected by its hinges.

Inside the house was just as the captain had left it.

"So what do you think?" Attics turned his head towards Rausten.

Rausten was busy looking around, shifting stuff and looking for clues to hear what Attics said.

Konbei absent-mindedly dragged his finger tips up and down her back as he relaxed.

Nuala found herself growing more anxious every hour Konbei wasn't home. She rolled her eyes, knowing he was more than capable of taking care of himself, but given his tendency to rush into danger and the fact the disappearances were unexplained, meant she couldn't help but worry just a little.

Gwene immediately got goosebumps from his fingers running down her spine "Shift those fingers of yours to the front." she sighed before moving in for more passionate kisses.

Konbei smiled at the invitation and let his hands fulfill Gwene's request.

"Good man." Gwene giggled, she then ripped off his shirt and left a trail of kisses down his body.
