Dearly Departed

"....Do we have to?" Konbei said. The whole idea of a picnic sounded so feminine.

Niamh hugged him around the waist and looked up at him with a puppy dog pout "Please Papa..."

Gwene couldn't help but laugh "How can you say no to that?"

"...Fine," Konbei caved. "But then I'm going to find whoever took you and kill 'em."

Gwene nodded, she whispered into Konbei's ear "You don't have to worry about Nuala, she will probably want to go with you and Dane in search of these guys."

"I know, but they can't expect to just get away with it," Konbei said.

"I know." Gwene nodded, still keeping her voice down. "I want to get them too, but I don't want Niamh to get involved, she could get hurt in some way. So I'll keep her distracted while you do that. Deal?"

"Yeah, deal," Konbei said.

Gwene nodded "Niamh, come here. We'll go get Aunty Zelda first."

Niamh was at Gwene's side within seconds and was clasped around her leg.

Gwene took Konbei's hand and gave him a nod.

Ankoku too was walking aloof the castle.... he had not gotten what had happened... but somehow.... he was there. He felt weird. It was as if a huge gap had been present in his memory and could not figure out what it was.

"It's like something I am unaware of changed... weird", he muttered silently

In a flurry on snow, Konbei took them all to the castle.

Niamh spotted Zelda first and went over to her. "Hi Aunty Zelda!"

Zelda smiled "Why hello there Niamh. How are you doing?"

"Good!" Niamh couldn't contain her excitement "We are going for a picnic, we want you to come."

Zelda thought for a moment. "Yes, I don't see why not."

Gwene had walked over to Zelda "Gotten used to being called Aunty yet?" she said with a grin.

Zelda smirked "It's still sinking in." Zelda thought once more "How about we get some food from our kitchens?"

Niamh smiled in surprise "Sure!"

Gwene looked over to Konbei "Want to go get Celeste while we get ready here?" she flashed him a wink and a smile.

In the end, Ankoku had a weird attack and passed out just in front of the doors of the castle. Coming back from... wherever he had gone had somehow taken quite the tool on him

Konbei vanished and brought Celeste back, who was very excited to be spending more time with Niamh.

Gwene, Niamh and Zelda had prepared a nice picnic for them all and they were waiting for Celeste, when Konbei and Celeste reappeared Niamh almost ran to Celeste's side, took her hand and walked them back over to Zelda.

"Okay Papa, we are ready to go." Niamh said.

"It's okay." Zelda said "I am able to use Farore's Wind, so I can take us." she had had a small conversation with Gwene about what really was going on. "You go off and do you thing."

"But I wanted Papa to come..." Niamh said, feeling a little sad

Gwene knelt down to Niamh "Niamh dear, he has some important errands to run with your grandmother."

Niamh nodded, she understood but will still annoyed her father couldn't join them. She walked over to him and held her hands up to him signalling she wanted to be picked up and hug her father.

Gwene went over to him also.

Konbei sighed, it bugged him that he was cause of her sad little face. He picked Niamh up and hugged her. "I promise when I get back we can do whatever you want, so you better start thinking of something, okay?"

Niamh nodded and hugger her father around the neck "Okay!" she leapt from his arms and went over to Celeste and Zelda

Gwene took her turn, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips "I hope I get the same treatment."

"I wouldn't wanna make things unfair, would I?" Konbei said with a smile. "I'll see you later."

She gave him one more quick kiss and let him go, she walked back over to Niamh and the others. She looked back over at him before he warped away.

"Shouldn't you be with your daughter?" Nuala said to Konbei as she saw him return alone. The words still didn't taste right...

"I'm gonna find the people who took Gwene," Konbei said.

Nuala paused and looked at him. "Are you sure that's wise? You hardly know anything about them. You could be getting in over your head here, remember you have others to think about..."

"So what?" Konbei shrugged. "When we find 'em we'll take it from there."

"...We?" Nuala said, inwardly smiling at the fact that he was asking for her help. "So this was all it took for you to realise you couldn't do everything by yourself? I'm proud of you, Konbei..." she said with a slight sarcastic undertone.

"So where are we going to?" Zelda asked.

"To our new home." Gwene said, picking up and holding Niamh

"Okay. I can take us there." Zelda said, she was able to use the ability of Farore's Wind "But if I haven't been there it will be difficult."

"If you can take us to the hor springs by Goron Village, we can go from there." Gwene said.

Zelda nodded and focused her energy so it spread to Gwene, Niamh and Celeste, together they disappeared in a flash of green light.

When they arrived at the hot spring Gwene took them along the path to the Oasis, when they got there she pointed it out. "Here. This will be our new home."
