"Gwene?" Konbei called when she didn't answer. He walked into the bedroom and found her asleep. He smiled at her; she looked so peaceful and he couldn't resist laying a gentle kiss on her cheek. He then decided let her be since he knew how hard she had been working.

Gwene stirred when Konbei kissed her on the cheek, she opened her tired eyes and saw him "Oh, gosh, I didn't realise how tired I am. I'll make it up to you tomorrow night." she crawled under the sheets and patted the empty spot beside her. "Lie with me."

"Don't worry about it," Konbei said. He lay beside her and hugged close to him. "I'd rather you slept anyway, don't want you to get shadows under your pretty eyes."

Gwene smiled and kissed him on the lips "You truly do know how to flatter me." she wrapped an arm around his neck and wrapped a leg over his waist, she didn't want to let him go.

If he said one more good thing about her, she didn't know what she would do to him. Her response was another hard and passionate kiss. "

"I like that," Konbei said, smiling beneath her kisses.

----

Forty years had gone by since she last committed murder and quite frankly, she missed it. Nuala's car was parked on the road leading to Faron Woods, she sat in the driver's seat and watched a young Ordonian man selling pumpkins at a road-side stall. He didn't seem to notice Nuala's car as he had been watching the news of the election on a portable TV since she had pulled up and so far not once had he looked in her direction.

Maybe just the one, Nuala thought to herself as she weighed up the risk; because of today's technology, the chances of her flying under the radar were much slimmer. But this man would be such an easy target... Besides, people were too focused on the election hype to notice one simple, farmer from way outside of the city go missing. Even the authorities would probably either not notice or care, even Gwene had been working tirelessly to secure the safety of Daphnes. The opportunity was right in front of her and it was too easy. She had done this hundreds of times over and now was the perfect time, there was no way she would get caught.

Nuala unwrapped her knife from an old cloth and picked it up, she curled her fingers around the hilt; it gave her an adrenaline rush just to hold her most prized weapon once more. She inwardly smirked as she glanced up at the Ordonian man once more - he still hadn't noticed her. She tucked the knife into her hand bag and got out of her car.

"I love you," Konbei muttered back.

----

Nuala started towards the Ordonian man who still had his back to her. She had to control the excited smile playing at her lips as she approached him. He leant forward and seemed to turn up the volumn on his headphones, apparently intrigued by what was happening on the TV.

Perfect... Nuala thought and quietly slipped behind him. She took her knife from her bag and held it behind her back. "Excuse me?" She said to get the man's attention.

"Huh...?" The man suddenly turned when he heard her voice but he barely had time to see who wanted him before a knife plunged straight through his heart.

Nuala quickly withdraw her knife and stepped back to avoid getting any blood on her clothes. She grimaced in disgust as the man fell to the ground and started choking on his own blood. Somehow he managed to reach for his phone but was quickly stopped when a small burst of dark energy knocked it away from him.

He made a hopeless, defeated sound and finally died as his blood continued to pool under him from the wound in his chest. Nuala wiped her knife on his clothes and started walking back her car. She smirked to herself, pleased to be back. Even though the man had nothing useful to offer her, the feeling of his flesh wrapped around her blade and the imagine of him dying was satisfactory enough after such a long drought.

It would probably be a while before anyone noticed the man missing or even found his body due to the fact that he was killed in the middle of nowhere. Nuala started the car's engine and pulled out onto the road that lead back to the city. Her day had just gotten a whole lot better.

Ankoku Yami. A relatively known person, mostly due to association with Kage Yami, rather famous merchant, often in competion with "that Dragmire guy", as he called him, a free-time scientist, always studying more for chemisty, a subject his versality in had been passed on to his son.

Although his son had also another undying passion: the past. When he was not found reading books of chemisty, he was found reading books of legends. He had gone so far to learn Ancient Hylian to read more texts about this. Not that he minded at all.

Despite this, Ankoku did his best to rarely draw attention, usually wearing his trademark blue hood and umbrella, no matter whatever weather there was, and had long walk across Hyrule. He barely read newspaper, but knew about the whole campaign about Zant and Daphne. His father was helping the latter, from what he knew, due to the fact Ganondorf was helping the former. In his opinion, though, Zant was too much of a loose cannon. Too young, inexperienced and ambitious. Daphne seemed to be more 'grounded' in what he had to do, at least

Nuala eventually made it back to Hyrule City and parked her car in the street outside her shop.

"Celeste?" She said as she entered.

"Here..."

Nuala walked around to the back and found Celeste sitting at the computer sorting through emails and looking a little defeated.

"What's the matter?" Nuala asked, pulling up a chair beside her.

"Oh nothing, it's just been a slow day, business-wise," Celeste said, her eyes still on the screen.

"Hm, I don't suppose you've heard from Konbei at all?" Nuala said, although she already knew what the answer would be.

Celeste shook her head. "Nope."

"I see..." Nuala frowned a little and retreated to the flat above the shop. She wasn't worried about Konbei as much as she was frustrated with him. His carefree attitude was starting to become a problem; the election was coming up and he didn't know the first thing about the candidates, he could barely support his own weight financially, and he was starting to sink into some bad habits. Nuala had tried to talk to him but it came as no surprise that he didn't listen to her, the only person who ever had a chance of getting through to him was Gwene and she didn't seem to mind the smoking...

If it wasn't for Konbei's arrogance and foolish self-belief that he was indestructable, Nuala probably would have blamed her son's rebellious ways on the poor examples set by Zelda. She never did like that girl or the rest of her family anyway...

Perhaps the only way to whip Konbei into shape was to stop giving him shifts at the shop. The only reason he agreed to work was to fund his nicotine addiction and Nuala definitely did not want to support that.

Dance of Dragons - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dance of Dragons   Dance of Dragons - Page 5 EmptyTue Apr 03, 2012 7:00 am

((Will anyone play Zant for me or... why do I even bother..))

Zelda seated herself in a cushy chair in the Skybox, removing her shades and peering over the rail to look down on the scene.

The stage was still vacant, though the platforms for the two candidates had been set up, as well as all the equipment. The Dome's seats were slowly filling up; people from all over Hyrule had paid to see this event.

She drew herself back into the seat and glanced behind herself at Thorne and Sergius, who didn't seem to be paying her any attention yet. She drew a small bottle out of her purse, as well as a glass, a straw, and a bottle of orange juice. She mixed the drink quietly, and began to sip on it as she waited for the debate to begin.

-S-

Ganondorf was also sitting in a private area, watching over the goings-on with little interest. It was almost time for things to take off; they hadn't but ten minutes before the debate began. He gestured to one of his lackeys, and the man ran over, bearing a box of cigars. He picked one, and lit it with a match, taking a drag idly.

"What I've been working towards... it all comes together today..." he said to himself.

-S-

"Just remember sir, keep it cool, you've got this in the bag," the employee said with a bright smile. "Twilian doesn't stand a chance against you, Mr. Hyrule. You have nothing to worry about. Now go knock their socks off!"

Daphnes wiped his brow as his employee adjusted his tie one final time. There was no need to go over his speech; he already knew what he wanted to say to his people. The prepared speech was merely a formality to keep his sponsors happy anyways, a guidelines, if you will.

The older Hylian rose from his seat, patting the man on the shoulder. "You've done a fine job. Thank you for the inspiration, Joseph." He turned on his heel, walking out the doors and towards the stage where his opponent would be waiting.

I do hope Zelda is here... he couldn't help but think as he walked, his thoughts drifting to his only daughter.

-S-

A young girl like any other was walking down the street Ankoku happened to be on. She wore skinny jeans and a flannel tee, had a knapsack slung over her shoulder, and a ballcap hid her face and covered her red hair.

This was Fortuna Dragmire. Yes, the very same rich girl who was grandaughter to the one and only Ganondorf Dragmire.

Now you might question as to why a girl of her status was walking around the city unattended? That's because she thought she was unattended.

A ways behind her, the figure of a rather tall man stalked, his yellow eyes watching all that passed her suspiciously. This was Gahan Etia. It was his job to watch her - whether the setting was formal or not. And though he hated it (after all, who wanted to deal with a spoiled brat 24/7), it payed good money. Meaning the bills, and then some.

"Shit..." Konbei whispered when his phone started to ring. He quickly reached into his pocket and pressed the hang up button so it wouldn't disturb Gwene, then sighed when he realised the call had been from Nuala.

He carefully slid his arm out from underneath Gwene, doing his best not to wake her up and went to return the call, but instead was greeted with an automated message telling him he'd been cut off due to an outstanding bill...

Konbei found a notepad and pen and left Gwene a note on her bedside table;

Gwene, in case you wake up and I'm not here, I've gone to get some of my stuff. Be back soon. Phone's cut off but you can still call if you need me.

He grabbed his keys and headed out. He only lived all of ten minutes away from Gwene so he hoped he would be back before she woke up.

"A team, in position and zeroed in. B and C teams, in position and zeroed in. D team, in position and zeroed in. E team, in position and zeroed in. All teams in position and awaiting the weapons free."

Facade leaned back behind the passenger seat of the surveillance van as on of the technicians finished reading off the roll. Six teams consisting of a sniper and observer, were scattered about the city, each watching over one entrance or exit of the Dome from their concealed positions. One watching the main entrance, two watching the fire escapes opposite, one on the service access, and one more on the VIP parking lot. No-one could possibly escape without their notice.

The second technician tuned the main screen to the debate and they all settled in to wait.

-----

Miles woke with a start as he was nudged awake.

"Wha...Ritter? What's the matter?" he asked as he rubbed his eyes clear. He looked down at the papers scattered about his desk. Leases and other documents from the tenants.

"You said you wanted to watch the debate." replied Ritter. "It's about to start."

"Oh, get it tuned in on the screen downstairs. I'll be down in a moment." Ritter silently left to carry out this task, but Miles tarried a bit and picked up one of the documents on his desk. We, the tenants of apartment number 121 of the Mist-tree apartment complex, duly request that repairs to be made on- Miles sighed and signed the document.

Dance of Dragons - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dance of Dragons   Dance of Dragons - Page 5 EmptyTue Apr 03, 2012 1:00 pm

"And therefore, I state that, by implanting an improved factory for energy nearby Death Mountain is not only quite safer than one in Lake Hylia, but shall bring more work to the middle class and overall much more energy throughout all Hyrule", Zant said solemnly. He looked at himself in the mirror unconvinced though.... no, he would have not won acting like this in the debate.

Clearing his though, he started pulling off a wide grin (nearly as wide as his thin face) and repeated: "And therefore, I state that, by implanting an improved factory for energy nearby Death Mountain is not only quite safer than one in Lake Hylia, but shall bring more work to the middle class and overall much more energy throughout all Hyrule! Energy for everyone!"

Looking again at the mirror, he started snapping, as if angry and determined and for a third time repeated: "And therefore, I state that, by implanting an improved factory for energy nearby Death Mountain is not only quite safer than one in Lake Hylia, but shall bring more work to the middle class and overall much more energy throughout all Hyrule"

As he had failed to convince himself, his eyes started visibly twitching and slammed his own face against the wall at his side. Understanding he was losing his cool.... again, he took out a jar full of the magical white powder (also given to him by his god' sponsor' ) which allowed him to better concentrate and took a long and drawn exhale and regained his coolness. Yes, indeed, the rush of adrenaline surging now convinced him. No matter what people would have said, he could have won with ease a debate against the King. After all, come on. That guy's name was Daphne! A girl's name. He would have made him cry like the little girl he was.

Systemating his tie over his form fitting smoking he took a long breath and then said with his blank face and cold tone, meaning he was ready to go all out: "It's showtime"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ankoku looked in suprise at the girl who had been walking forward him. Did he knew who she was? Of couse he did, how could he not know? She was by far the most famous girl in all Hyrule, if you excluded Paris Hilton Zelda Hyrule.

As he faced her and their stares crosses, Ankoku swiftly decided it was time to set aside their families' rivalry and with a gentle bow of his head, he politely greeted the young Dragmire with: "Ms. Dragmire, honored to cross your path once more"
