Dance of Dragons

Gwene quickly went to the kitchen, grab her keys, wallet and an energy drink. She then went out to Konbei, grabbing her phone off of the couch as she went.

Konbei opened the door for Gwene and let her out. He locked it behind them and lead her down to his car. "Do you know a back route?" He said. "It'll be safer and a hell of a lot quicker."

"Yeah." Gwene answered "Don't take the surface street, and cut through the carpark by the mall."

"Right," Konbei nodded as he got in his car and started the ignition.

Gwene climbed in the passenger seat and pulled on her seatbelt, she called Zelda again, but the network was still overflowing with calls, texts and everything inbetween, so her call couldn't go through. She sighed in frustration, she opened the can with her energy drink and drained it within seconds.

Konbei reversed out and sped down the street, going the way Gwene told him. He looked over at her as he drove; checking she was alright.

Dark immediately began to run along the roof of the dome; his feet only registered as a blur. Before the next volley of shots could be fired, he jumped down and disappeared into the building through a matinence entrance. As he continued to run, his features lost their human qualities.

The small group rounded the end of the hallway, only to be met with a woman of exotic features. She shared many characteristics with Thorne, signifying her as another Sheikah. This was Impa - head of Daphnes' personal security.

"You have Zelda? Very good. A vehicle is prepared through the back entrance; it won't draw nearly as much attention as the limo. Go, quickly now!" she urged them, pushing them onwards.

As they left, the woman looked around suspiciously, her hands glowing with blue energy.

"They're not gonna let me near her house," Konbei said as they cut through the car park. "The sercurity will be insane."

"If I can talk to Sergius, I think we'll be fine." Gwene said, looking out the window as she spoke. She truly was worried about Zelda.

Sergius nodded "Understood." he began to lead Zelda to the back door.

Konbei noticed Gwene's expression. "She'll be alright, I mean, saftey-wise..." he said as he pulled up as close to Zelda's house as he could get.

Gwene nodded, but she still couldn't help but worry, she saw they were close to her home "Park up around the corner, we'll walk from there."

She picked up her phone a decided to try Zelda again, this time, the call went through.

Konbei did as Gwene said. He got out of the car and went around to her side.

Gwene climbed out, her phone pressed against her ear, hoping Zelda would pick up.

As they got into the car, Zelda heard her phone ring, and pulled it out of her purse. Despite herself, trails of mascara had already ran down her cheeks.

"H-Hello...?" she choked.

"Zelda?" Gwene asked Zelda over the phone. "Oh my gosh, are you alright? Are you hurt? Where are you?"

"We're leaving the D-Dome." The girl gulped, and looked out the window as the door shut. "We're coming to my house, I think. Don't hang up!"

((Time-skip to the house? Then, I'll write the battle scene...))

(Yep.)

Gwene had remained on the phone to Zelda the entire time. "Yeah, we are just outside the front gate." she answered when she saw Zelda's limo come into view.

"The target has evaded the snipers." announced the technician. "Evacuation of the dome is in progress."

Facade sighed. "It seems that we've missed our opportunity. Pull everyone back, we'll try again when we have a better grip on the situation."

The van began to pull away from the curb and meander its way towards the safe house. The sniper teams also began to pack up and disappear into the city. Their true target was safe for another day.

The lights in the hallway flickered, and Impa threw her sharp gaze around, feeling another presence within her range.

A black-clad figure appeared in a flash of dark magic and charged at her, blade raised to decapitate her in a sidelong swipe. She raised an energy barrier just in time, shielding herself from harm. The boy - no, creature - struck the impenetrable barrier, letting out a savage cry as he lashed out again.

Recognition flashed in the woman's eyes, but it was sudden and brief. So this shadow was Daphnes' assassin. He now appeared differently than he had to all witnesses - his features had adapted to black and white instead of fair and handsome. She winced as the barrier was struck again - whomever had created this shadow had infused it with a powerful dark magic.

Impa dropped the barrier and threw a well-placed kick at the shadow's chest. It sent him flying backwards, and he struck the opposite wall, choking on his own laughter as his body spasmed in unregistered pain.

"You are to die, Sheikah!"

He sprung up and brought his blade down towards Impa's skull yet again. She dodged swiftly, sending another kick to his back. He was forced down, and before he could cover ground, she seized his sword and dug a knee into his back, holding the sharp edge to his neck.

"Who created you? Who are you imitating? Answer me, shadow-borne!"

His red eyes flashed up, and he merely grinned as he brought his own neck down on the sword. Boy and weapon vanished in a wisp of smoky substance, and Impa was left with nothing but surprise, his face etched into her mind.

The limo pulled up to the house, and Zelda got out hurriedly, forgetting her things as she ran up the front steps of the mansion.

Gwene looked to Konbei. "Do you want to grab Zelda's stuff? I'll go comfort her." she proceeded up the steps, following Zelda. She quickly caught up to Zelda.

Konbei picked up Zelda's forgotten belongings and closely followed her and Gwene tp the mansion.

The girl in question had fled to her room, and had forgotten to lock the door. She held one of her numerous pillows close, using it to muffle her sobs as she lay upon her bed.

((I had something planned for Fortuna, so can I say she went ahead to the shop...?))

Gwene walked into Zelda's room and sat on the bed, she turned and put a hand on Zelda's shoulder "Zelda, I'm so sorry. I honestly don't know what to say, but I'm here to support you, through no matter what."

Konbei left Zelda's things at her door and went to wait downstairs; it wasn't his place to get involved.

Sergius was waiting downstairs, he knew Gwene and Zelda were the best of friends, and if anyone could comfort her right now, she could.

He spotted Konbei coming in his direction. "Hey there." he said trying to strike up a conversation "How's your mother?"
