The Inner Gambit of Darkness - Continued

After taking care of the Fleshbornes in front of her, Nuala spun around and in the same movement, cleaved her sword through more enemies surrounding her.

Steven threw off a clinging Darkborne before impaling another through the head. Without his other sword, he wouldn't be able to keep up with the hordes. At this rate, he would eventually be overwhelmed.

Steven fought his way to the Alpha that he stuck his sword into. It was charging at Ryan.

"Steven, think you can wield Elysium?" Ryan hollar over as he charged at the Alpha, he leapt high into the air to be able to kick his feet with a waio charged kick into the face of the Alpha.

"Throw it over!" Steven hollered as he glanced over at Ryan and fought at the same time.

Ryan tossed over Elysium as he attacked the Alpha

Steven caught Elysium and began tearing up demons at his original pace. As Elysium cut through the evil beings, its power grew.

The Alpha stumbled back a bit. It clumsily swung its arm at Ryan.

Rya spun in the air as he leapt off and swung Samehada at the alpha's arms.

Nuala came up behind the Alpha with a stab to its back.

Galenus lead Celeste all the way up to the hot springs where the group was.

The Alpha collapsed to the ground and dissipated into wispy darkness. Another flesh stalk burst into the chamber, demolishing the demon monument and letting in more Fleshbornes. A new variant with extra bladed limbs on its back entered the mayhem.

As Elysium vanquished more and more demons, it shone with holy light. Demons began to avoid Steven's holy blade. He had to approach them now in order to kill them.

Another flesh stalk entered the chamber, right above Nuala and Ryan. Fleshbornes tried to drop onto them.

Deserax heard foot steps and drew his sword. Once he saw Celeste and another man carrying her, he sheathed the sword.

"You ok Celeste?"

Konbei jumped up when he saw Celeste return and noticed her injuries. "Celeste! What the hell happened, where have you been?" He said.

"Oh Konbei, be quiet. I'm fine," she said and pushed Galenus forward a bit. "This is Galenus, he helped me."

Ryan unsheath Kurigari and swung up, many exploding needles shot off the prickly Katana.

Galenus gave a small nod.

Gwene rose from the water at Celeste's appearance, glad to see she was safe. But looked at the wounds upon her "What the hell happened to you?" she leapt to Celeste's side and pulled her into a hug. Unknowingly she had forced the two apart.

The still living Fleshbornes were pinned to the stalk. Despite their struggles, they couldn't get free. More of their kind replaced them as they entered the fray.

A new wave of Darkbornes entered the room.

(They're all force-hittable you know.)

Ryan just slammed Kurigari down and the needles that pinned the flesheborne blew up along with them, he glance over at the next horde nearby and Spat acidic blue liquid out at them. Many Fleshbornes were caught in the disolving acid.

Celeste cringed a little as Gwene bumped some of her wounds but returned the hug to be polite. "Some Novafaitans attacked me," she said. "But I'd probably be dead if it wasn't for Galenus..."

Konbei looked at Galenus. "Hey..." He said.

Deserax looked over Galenus. From looking at him, it looks like he's done a lot of training. He almost looked mean. But if he helped someone, he couldn't be all bad right?

"Whats your name?" Deserax asked Galenus.

Galenus gave a slight upwards nod at Konbei.

"Really?" Gwene released Celeste and walked over to Galenus "Thank you so much for saving my friend. My name is Gwene." she held out her hand.

"Galenus." he said, shaking it, also directed at Deserax.

"These inbreds are d-desecrating Daekronos's sacred g-grounds!" the jester shouted in terror.

Steven looked around him and saw many Darkbornes closing in. Suddenly, Elysium began to ring a heavenly tone. It left Steven's grasp and it hovered into the air with a flashing light that made many demons recoil and back away. Steven stepped back, shielding his eyes from the light. The sword quickly pointed towards the ground and stabbed into it with the speed of a lightning bolt.

There was a wave of purging light that disintegrated the hordes of demons and flesh stalks. Steven stared in awe as the light dimmed. Holding the sword, was a suit of heavenly white armor. An ethereal glow gave off from the figure.

More hordes entered the chamber, closing in on the group. Alphas and Lessers, Fleshbornes and Darkbornes, all ready to finish them off. The white knight looked around and rose his blade. It released another wave of light that stunned the demons for a couple seconds. The demons snapped out of it and ran at the group.

This was the final wave.

"Bring it." Ryan hollered as he charged and took Down as many as he could with Samehada and Kurigari.

Loki charged in with Swinging his Bisento in wide swings, taking with it many as it was swung.

Elysium effortlessly vanquished demons with waves of holy light from his sword. Steven, now with both of his twin black swords, took out incoming demons.

Fuchsia eyes looked from the man to his outstretched hand, to the man again. "well, if it pleases you so much, i'll accept your help." she grasped the hand with her delicate one. "but, if i even get a hint of this being a trick, i will castrate you and leave you for dead in a ditch. k?" she smiled almost looked genuine.

Cyrus couldn't help but smile "I thank you for letting me have this opportunity." he lead her outside and away from the house, so that she wouldn't succumb to Dane's wrath.

Verron allowed herself to be lead out of the veritable treasure trove that was Dane's house. Instead, she her first real look at the man who had rescued her before. He was handsome to be sure, and rich too. My kind of guy she almost laughed at her good fortune. Casually, she linked arms with him.
