The Inner Gambit of Darkness - Continued (Part 2)

"It is a long story. I'm glad that I'm back to normal." Steven said. He approached Russell and handed him his menacing twin black swords and black shield.

"I need something that fits my evil-slaying style. Something that works good against abominable creatures..."

The evil presence did not leave Ryan. It made the area around him below zero, an evil cold the represented rage. The Voice roared an unearthly roar.

It then left.

Russell took them and looked them over "Evil slaying you say." Russell thought for a few moments "I might have just the thing." he walked into his armoury.

Steven waited.

Russell walked out of the armoury carrying a belt with an adventure pouch on it. "Here. Inside you will find a long sword, twin short sword and a Hylian Shield." Russell said, he went on to explain about them "The Long Sword is finely crafted, the strongest of steels and forge with an infusion of gold and diamond dust, giving it an almost everlasting gleam and sharp edge. The short swords are the same. Now, the Hylian Shield was a task, but it is one of the strongest shields around. The great fairy blessed it and now it is able to deflect certain energy attacks."

Ryan traversed into the temple with Samehada in hand, he went his way to the pit to jump into and fight the entity.

Steven took all of this and looked at the master craftsmanship. "Magnifecent." he said as he put on the adventure belt on. He took the Hylian Shield out of the pouch and put it on his back along with the longsword. "Thank you, Russell."

Steven had gathered his remaining rupees from his old house before his trip to the forge. It summed up to a great amount, enough to pay for the extrodinary weapons. He handed the three bags of rupees to Russell.

Russell held up his hands "I know what you are fighting for, so consider them a gift. Just watch out for Gweneth, make sure she stays safe."

Jumping into the Pit was like jumping into a bottomless pit of unimaginable terror. There were horrifying sounds, incomprehensible to Hyrulean ear and complete darkness.

Finally, Ryan hit solid ground. It wasn't visible, but still solid.

There, chained to a large slab of ebony metal, was the deity. He resembled a suit of black armor with nothing inside but pure darkness. He looked helpless chained to the wall, but powerful nonetheless.

"Have you come to slay me, mortal?" the deity asked. "To strike me as I stay shackled to this wall? I am the Lord of the Darkness, Daekronos."

"I shall." Steven replied with truth in his voice. He would defend Gwene, and all the Sages as they did their destined duties. He reluctantly put away his offered rupees into his pouch and departed with a wave farewell to Russell.

Russell nodded and watched him walk away, he then went back inside to the forge and continued along with his work.

Ryan shook his head, "Why does your name have the same beginning of Daemorakk......regardless, let's see you fight with the chains off." Ryan slammed Samehada down unleashing a beam of energy at the chains.

The chains broke, causing Daekronos to fall to his feet. He chuckled a bit, and then laughed. His laugh became one of maniacal terror and triumph.

"YES! AT LONG LAST! FREEDOM!" he shouted into the darkness.

He looked back at Ryan. "You fool, do you realize what you have done? I am free now, free to reign my Darkness upon Hyrule!"

"But you have come to me with a death wish I suppose." Daekronos said as he summoned his short warhammer. "That can be arranged..."

Ryan Wordlessly spewed a tourrent of water that layed used for Ryan to used later, He took out Daemorakk in his other and disappeared in a birst of speed. Above Daekronos Ryan sliced both swords down at his head.

Without moving, Daekronos vanished and reappeared behind Ryan with a violent swing with his hammer.

Atticus watched Konbei go. He felt...something.

Something dark...

"Konbei, where are you going?" he shouted.

"I have things to do," Konbei replied without looking back at Atticus.

Atticus watched him go with narrow eyes.

Ryan disappeared with speed and appeared right before Daekronos' stomach and stabbed Daemorakk while slamming Samehada at his feet.

Verron's eyes darted to the ceiling, then to Dane. She put a manicured finger to her lips.

"torn? what, are ya suicidal now? feh, don't be an idiot." she had crossed the room to the enterance, ready to welcome thier uninvited guest incase he wanted to drop in.

Brenz jumped down, and hit the floor with a thump. He began walking towards the entrance.

"You certainly like sneaking around, don't you Brenz?" Dane commented as the man came into view.

"Yeah, yeah, bla bla bla." Brenz said. He stared at Verron. "You have something I want."

"And what would that be?" Dane inquired.

"So..." Gwene said nervously to Nuala "I know it is a little early, but what do you think about names for it?"

"The weapon. I went to your home, and it was gone. A few helpful sources said that if something got stolen, it was probably by your good friend." Brenz said.

(Are Gwene and Nuala over with Galenus?)

Dane looked over at Verron with a face that both expected and was surprised at Brenz's claim.

"Is this true?"
