The Inner Gambit of Darkness - Continued (Part 4)

Dalikos saw Verron struggling and came and sliced the at the arms of the redeads.

Nayru knelt down, avoiding the swing. She quickly carved upward with her sword.

The Ebony Knuckle blocked with its scythes as it swung its axe back the way it came.

Not wanting to interfere with Nayru, Konbei watched intently, ready to step in if he needed to.

Nayru deflected the axe away from her with a cast of Love, she forced the Scyhte away from her and swung low with her sword.

The attack barely damaged the Ebony Knuckle. It pulled its scythes back and swung them down at Nayru like fangs.

Nayru rolled to the side, avoiding the blow. Leaving an opening for someone else to attack.

Konbei saw the chance and took it. He lunged forward and swiped his blade forcefully at the enemy.

The Ebony Knuckle took the blow, unfazed, as it swung down at Konbei with its axe. It had been preparing that attack before Konbei lunged at it.

Using the strength from the gauntlets, Konbei let his blade catch the axe and he pushed back against it.

The Ebony Knuckle staggered back into a column. The force caused one of its creases to reveal the black flames that gave the armor life. A red ball of light could be seem swimming around in the flames from the crack.

Konbei watched carefully. He held his sword at the ready and got into a stance.

Deserax, out of boredom, twirled his sword by the hilt, but ready to use it if Naryu called for it.

The ball of red light seemed to be an eye of sorts. It stopped to look at Konbei through the crease, fully exposed for an attack.

Konbei rushed at the Ebony Knuckle and swung his sword as hard as he could at it.

The eye buzzed in pain and went dark, causing the scythe arms to detach. The Ebony Knuckle recovered and sent a backhand at Konbei to knock him away.

Konbei took the backhand and retaliated with a forceful punch.

The Ebony Knuckle stumbled back into another column, affected by the force of Konbei's Silver Gauntlets. It let out a metallic growl and lumbered towards him with two violent axe swings.

Konbei dodged the first swing and let the other deflect of his blade.

The Ebony Knuckle then went for a shoulder bash.

Konbei held his ground and shoved back against the Ebony Knuckle.

The Ebony Knuckle refused to back down. It shoved harder.

Konbei gritted his teeth and shoved the Ebony Knuckle off him. He stabbed his blade towards it.

The attack had no effect on the Ebony Knuckle. Its scythe arms reattached themselves as it stepped back. The red ball of light appeared in the Knuckle's visor and fired a small concentrated beam of energy at Konbei. If he were to dodge, it would follow.

Konbei dove to the side to avoid it but realized it tracked him. He released his own force of energy from his palm to try and counter it.
