The Legend of Zelda: The Sacred Dragons

Nafre transformed into a gold staff, her heads faced together and her mouths were open, holding a large ruby between them.

"Well here she is..." Orla said as a vision appeared in the ruby. It was of Zelda suspended in the air in the middle of a dark dungeon. Se was still unconscious and her hair swirled slowly around her face as though she was underwater.

Link gasped in shock, so this woman was the one who had kidnapped Zelda, but why? This was something he would have to get answered. His face turned back to a fierce and penetrating look as he stared down this woman.

Orla smirked at Link's reaction as the image of Zelda disappeared. "Don't worry, I'm not going to kill her. I need her," she said. "She's my key to unlocking Vita's seal and releasing the power of my ancestor."

Link continued to glare at this woman, so she wasn't going to kill Zelda, but that didnt excuse her for kidnapping Zelda, and unlocking the power of Vita, what could that mean?

"And when I finish what my ancestor started, and claim that legendary power as my own... the entire world will fear me. I will be unstoppable," Orla said. "Even by those chosen by the goddesses..."

Links grip tightened around his sword, so this woman was another bent on taking a power far beyond her limits, if what she said was true, Link had to stop her.

"Hm, you don't give up easily, do you?" Orla said. "A respectable trait, I must admit, but I'd like to see how far it gets you against one of my minions. I'd love to stay and watch you being ripped shreds but I have a world to take over..."

She pointed her staff in front of her and from the ruby shot a bolt of red lightning. A black snake appeared on the floor and suddenly grew larger and larger until it towered over Link. Each of its scales were perfectly defined and looked like they were made of granite. Running down the length of its back was a webbed fin and its monterous fangs hung over its bottom jaw. It looked at Link with its three yellow eyes, opened its mouth let out a roaring hiss that felt like it shook the room.

"I could not find what I was looking for here, but I may have better luck at the shrine on Gladius Mountain. Goodbye, Link. This shrine will be forever known as your tomb..." Orla said and in a bright flash she was gone.

Link scowled when the woman fled, but turned his attention to the giant black snake towering over him. How could he defeat such a giant serpent?

COLOSSAL SERPENTES - VIPERA

The enormous serpent suddenly whipped around and its thick tail came crashing down at Link.

Link immeditately rolled to the side to avoid it, he swung heavily at its tail, but his sword only glanced off it. It's scales seemed impenetrable.

Vipera's tail thudded down, leaving a crater in the floor. It hissed at Link and set off in an angry rampage around the room, bashing the walls and pillars as it went.

Link watched it as it thrashed around the room, looking for a weak spot on it, his shield raised, watching it from over the top of it, there had to be something.

Vipera stopped in front of Link, it opened its mouth and shrieked at him. Venom dripped from its fangs and if Link had of been watching carefully, he would have noticed that its fleshy tongue was an abnormal colour...

Link spotted the tongue, could that be its weak point? He decided to take a chance and leapt at it, slashing heavily when he was close enough.

The shriek was coming to an end and Vipera saw Link coming for it, it shifted its head to the side, avoiding the blow from him.

The words without a voice, which had first spoken to Link before he entered the temple, once more echoed through the room, heard only through the ears of the young hero facing the colossal serpent.

"Snakes rely on their tongues to "see", by sensing the vibrations around it... Take away its "sight", and it shall be powerless against you..."

Link heard the voice and looked around again, he understood what it meant, but how could he hit the eyes from a distance? The slingshot. He put his sword away and pulled it out, loading a seed into it, he took aim at the center eye and let the seed go.

(Tiggz... Snakes use their eyes to see xD)

The seed hit its target the Vipera's head snapped back. The prehistoric reptile roared in pain and collapsed on the ground; momentarily stunned, open for a quick attack.

(I think when she said "see" she meant By sensing the vibrations around it, which is what she said.)

Link quickly leapt at the tongue and slashed at it.

Vipera's body twitched as Link slashed at it's tongue. It suddenly snapped out of its stupor and thrashed its tail at Link.

(Yes.... but like I said, that's not what their tongues are for...)

Link went to avoid the blow but was struck and impacted on the hard stone with his back. He quickly gathered himself.

Vipera faced Link against and prepared itself to bite him.

Link had his slingshot out again, he had a seed aimed and ready to fire at its eye, he let another seed fly, aiming at its left eye this time.

The seed hit Vipera's eye and once again it collapsed forward, open for attack.
