The Legend of Zelda: The Sacred Dragons

"Absolutely," Zelda nodded. She drew back the behind the driver asked him to stop so Gwene could get out.

"Thank you." Gwene said, with a bright smile. She climbed from the coach and shut the door, banging on the side signalling the driver to continue. She then walked up to Konbei. "Hey there."

When Zelda's carriage stopped, Nafre perked up and slithered closer it.

"Hey," Konbei said. "Something wrong?"

"No, just wanted to walk with you." Gwene said, walking by his side.

Incredibly enough, this was not Ankoku's singing, but his father, Kage Yami, a merchant with great views and ambitions, riding his lovely pet, Dodo the Dodongo, a common dodongo which Shini had spared and tamed on her husband's request, being their anniversary. He was glad to find new trading routes to get further riches. Plus, he was in charge of making potions. Way easier for him than most other people.

A few steps away, her son was hopping by, happily enjoying the view and thhe unique sights this travel had to offer. Little people know, this was his birthday.... and what a better present for him than visit a new era with Link? At this Ankoku let out all of sudden an high pitched fangirlish squeam which could be heard from afa.

"I am grateful I can finally stay with LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK - the young boy squealed his feet tapping nervously- in your opionion is he looking at me, father? Am I good? Do I have enough clothing? Is my scarf done well? Oh my I cannot believe it..."

"Yes, son, don't worry", Kage said patting his son's head. He loved his zeal, reminded him it was for him still possible to reach his goal

Konbei gave Gwene a friendly smile and took her hand to keep her close by him.

Gwene couldn't help but reach up and give him a peck on the cheek.

Just as Zelda's entourage was entering the Viridi Village, Nafre darted out of the longer grass, straight in front of the horses pulling Zelda's carriage. She reared up, both heads beared their deadly fangs and hissed offensively at the horses to spook them.

Orla dismounted her horse and dispersed the venom ball. She stood where she couldn't be seen by the group and watched, ready to make her move and capture the princess. She looked at her company with a stern look; she expected this mission to be carried out with the utmost precision.

Ankoku widened his eyes at seeing this and readied himself at the attack

The horses pulling Zelda's carriage were spooked by Nafre's sudden appearance and stamped backwards, snorting in distress. The driver tried to control them but it was useless as Nafre's two heads struck out at the horses' ankles, venom squirting from their fangs as they relentlessly attacked.

Zelda stuck her head out of the carriage window and gasped when she saw the mutant snake attacking. The horses suddenly reared up, almost tipping the carriage. Zelda let out a startled squeal as she was thrown against the inside wall.

Konbei already had one blade drawn and was running towards the front of the carriage. He grabbed the horses' reins and tried to calm them as Nafre started to lash out at Epona, trying to bite her.

Ankoku saw the thing and asked his father to move there. Luckily, Dodo was a .... well, dodongo, so his hide was considerably toughter compared to an horse, although, considering his father was still a human, Ankoku made him stop at a fair distance so he could grab the other's horse reins to make it calm down alongside his rival/friend Konbei

Steven hopped out of one of the carriages with a confused scowl on his face. He drew his longsword and and looked to where the horses were winnying and stomping in fright...and to where a carriage seemed to be fallen over; Zelda's carriage!

Steven glared and stomped over there, ready to strike down whoever, or whatever, was assaulting the Princess of Hyrule.He came to an abrupt stop when something sharp and in the shape of slate barely skimmed his face and lodged itself into one of the carriages. Steven began to walk again in a slow and cautious manner as he glanced back and forth at the commotion and direction from where that projectile was launched from. Zelda was his top priority right now, even if this mystery assailant still had a beat on him...

Steven shrugged it off and continued towards Zelda to ensure her safety. "Your Highness, are you alright?" he called to her.

Deserax took out his sword and started running at the snakes. When on shot a venom ball at him, he rolled out of the way. He was about to let loose a fire attack, but the risk of him setting the place ablaze was not one he was going to take.

Link was too busy paying attention to what was happening behind him to notice the snake was attacking Epona. Epona, frightened out of her wits, reared on her two back legs, sending Link flying off of Epona, and landed on the ground with a sickening crunch, his head impacting hard against a rock, he felt the taste of blood and everything around him went black.

Epona then took off into the darkness, scared after being attacked by the Cobra.

"Damn it..." Steven cursed as he rushed to Link's side and pulled him away from the cobra. He laid him against a tree which was right next to the trail before going to fend off the wretched creature with his sword.

(hey Shadow, snakes don't shoot venom balls........)

"Kill it!" Konbei shouted at Deserax.

Zelda managed to pull herself out of the tipped carriage, her face was bruised on one side and her crown was missing. She gasped and clapped a gloved hand over her mouth when she spotted Link unconscious against a tree. The Princess started back away from the scene, her eyes wide and completely filled with shock.

With everyone distracted by the commotion Nafre was causing, Orla took her chance to move in on Zelda who happened to be unknowingly edging closer to her position.

"Sieze her," she said to the man acting as her muscle.

Steven lunged his sword at Nafre repeatedly, hoping to end this abomination quickly.

Nafre darted across the ground and under Steven's attack. She reared both heads and viciously and tried to sink her fangs into him.

This was met with a kick from Steven's armored foot.

Steven's kick connected with Nafre's head and she writhed back. She hissed at him in a full defensive stance.

Steven swung at Nafre's heads...

The fragment lodged into the carriage, wiggled around a bit as small symbols and writing on it glowed with an ominous purple light. It dislodged itself and retreated from the trail. A purple flame caught the fragment and let it orbit like a moon to a planet. The purple flame watched from above as the convoy was being singlehandedly delayed by Nafre. All was going according to plan...

Ankoku saw the Cobra and took out one of his vial containing quite a nasty fluid, as the label written above was 'ACID'

It was a quick and sudden move, but the alchemist quickly threw the vial at the monster. His attention got quickly shifted to the carriage. There seemed to be something wrong, plus he needed to check on the exquisite ruler of Zelda. When he saw the fragment dislodging, he widened his eyes, getting distracted and leaving himself an opening

Kage, instead, was minding his own businesses and looked at the fight from a fair distance, more concentrated on Steven and the two headed snake

'Impressive, my son really has a long way to go', he thought

(I meant the metal fragment that was launched at Steven a couple of posts back came to life and dislodged itself from the carriage.)

The purple wisp of a flame that attracted the strange fragment only a few moments ago danced before Ankoku's eyes. It bobbed up and down as it lurked around the trail from the trees. Another fragment flew up into the air and joined with the flames.
