"Ok then. Good luck to you kid." Dalikos shouted. He rubbed his eye, and figured he should probably get it checked out.

"Before i go, what about the whole balance deal?" Deserax said.

"It is our duty to protect the balance of society, whether that means committing good deeds or crimes. Good and Evil must always be in check, for too much Good leads to a lapse in judgement, while too much Evil leads to chaos. My colleagues and I strive to keep the world as it is, regardless of what side of morality we must work on."

Dane looked at the orange hilt curiously. It was identical to the one he had used against Daekronos and the shadow creatures.

He held it in his hands, and felt a name for the weapon shine in his mind.

"Joyeuse..."

"That... doesn't sound to bad... Isn't it hard to keep the world in balance though?"

(No one significant is in Ordon Village, right?)

The boy just sat there, looking into the woods with hatred. One day, maybe, just maybe...he would have revenge on the monsters that destroyed his life...

Not long after surviving Hylian Guards exited the village with injured villagers. The casualties were high, and survivors were few. The sergeant turned to the other guards. "You two, escort these wounded back to Castle Town. Barem, report to the king. Tell him that the Wendalfos have returned."

His men did as they were told and departed with the injured. "May the Goddesses have mercy on us. What is becoming of Hyrule...?"

"With a growing population it gets harder and harder to keep everyone in line. That is why we have been working to find people who think like us, and recruit them...Someone like you, Deserax."

(As far as i know, no. I could be wrong though.)

Deserax blinked.

"L-like. Wait? Your asking me? You serious?" Deserax couldn't believe it. It seemed like a heavy duty to have on your shoulders.

"I am not saying you will be admitted overnight." Prometh explained as he stroked his beard. "I would need to get the approval of the Matrem, and there would be plenty of trials to prove you are worthy, but I do believe you will rise to the challenge."

He held out his hand again. "Now then, shall we be off?"

Deserax took the hand, speaking as he did.

"Will i see you again? I mean, i could use some more training."

Once Deserax had taken Prometh's hand, the two were immediately engulfed in flames. As soon as the fire appeared though, it disappeared, revealing that the two had been transported back to the Eldin spring.

"Take this." Prometh reached into his robe pocket and took out a coin. It was an odd currency, with one side being white and the other being black. Both sides had a scale engraved into it.

"Kiss the white side of this coin and flip it in the air. If you need to see me again, I will find you."

"Whats the black side do?" Deserax asked, looking it over.

"It will call...someone else. I strongly urge you not to attempt it; not until you have been fully accepted."

"Oh man! I hate things like this..." Deserax had the urge, but he put it away.

"Thanks Prometh. I really appreciate it."

"You are very welcome, my young friend." Prometh smiled as he turned to leave.

He turned back around to face his pupil again. "Remember Deserax, just like that coin, fire is an element that stands for two contradicting forces, and it is up to you to harmonize them: illumination, with extermination; life, with death; Heaven, wth Hell."

Without another word Prometh burst into flames and was gone.

"Thats going to work really well during the battle with Daimus..." Deserax started walking toward the inn to get some much needed, and earned, rest.

the sheikah woman left the inn in search of booze, when she noticed someone familiar walking towards her. she squinted at the figure in the dark. yep, she definately knew this kid from somewhere...

Deserax peered through the dark and noticed a figure. He held out his hand, and decided now was a good time to test out his mind part of his fire. Soon, he had enough light to see that it was Verron.

"Verron?"

(Logic. He knows who the Light and Forest saves are, and Dane wouldn't be affiliated with Shadow.)

"If you focus your sage power through it, the blade will appear." Cyrus said. He looked and saw Verron had disappeared "Damn. How does she slip away like that?" he went off in search of Verron.

CRAP! she couldn't remember his name! "oh hey, er, you! how ya doing?" she smiled awkwardly. "where did you guys go? seems like i came back from castletown and you had all disappeared into thin air."

"Well, we-" Deserax started to explain what all happend at the desert, but stopped when he was about to talk about Prometh and his location, and group.

"And i decided to work on re controlling my powers..."

"all that?! holy shit, and i missed it?" the thief pouted her lips slightly. "i miss all the good stuff around here." Verron's long ears twitched as she heard footsteps behnind her, meaning Cyrus had caught up. she waved to him through the darkness.

Cyrus quickly caught up and walked over to the dark haired beauty "Didn't miss much, did I?" he joked.

"Depends on what you consider much I'd say." Deserax said.

Nuala sat alone, replaying the day's events over and over in her head; the news of Gwene's pregnancy, Konbei's relapse, Ryan's decision to leave them...

She frowned a little at the thought of Ryan. He was starting to worry her and she was concerned about what kind of influence he was having over Konbei. He looked up to Ryan so much and last the thing he needed was to be encouraged to follow this new path Ryan had apparently adopted. Especially considering he was going to be father...

Nuala had put a lot of effort into keeping her lifestyle and affiliations from influencing Konbei, but she could only do so much to protect him and unfortunately Ryan didn't seem to understand that. Sometimes it felt like he didn't care for either her or Konbei as much as he used to and she inwardly scolded herself for thinking the only way fix it was to break contact with Ryan.

She sighed at the thought of this. Sure she could talk to him about it, try and find some kind of middle road... But what was the point? She'd given him 19 years of chances and so far he hadn't proved much. He'd just been growing more and more distant and she'd had enough. Ryan had always told her how much family meant to his people, but so far his actions and decisions just hadn't convinced her of that...

Konbei meant the absolute world to Nuala and she loved Ryan for giving her son, but sometimes it just wasn't enough, especially when that love was never returned...

She had come to her conclusion; She couldn't let Ryan couldn't be a part of her or Konbei's life anymore.

Gwene looked over at Nuala's bedroom door and back to Celeste "She has been in there ever since we got back. I hope the news of my pregnancy isn't hitting her too hard."

"She'll get over it," Konbei said as he walked over and sat by Gwene.
