The Legend of Zelda: The Sacred Dragons

Steven sighed and shook his head. "We've found a trace of Princess Zelda: a mere piece of her silk glove. I doubt it would be of any use in helping us track her though. It's not like we have a bloodhound or anything..."

"Seth'gyt..." Orla spoke in a commanding tone.

Konbei looked at Gwene and shrugged. "Just this," he said and handed her the piece of glove he had found.

The purple wisp of ghostly flame came dancing towards Orla. It growled in acknowledgement.

"Go back to the forest and find Zelda's entourage, surely thy will be hunting for her," Orla said. "Lead them along a false trail towards the Centralis region... I'll take care of the rest."

The ghostly wisp growled again, this time in a lower tone. It hovered away with many fragments following close behind...

Steven rested against a tree and looked up at the canopies in hopelessness. How were they going to possibly find her?

"There it is again!" Steven said suddenly, turning his attention to a bright anamoly far off into the distance. "It's a...fairy...or something!"

(Johnny, do you want to go to the chat room and see what I have written and give me an opinion?)

Gwene looked at the glove. "Poor Zelda, why did this have to happen to her." she asked herself

"Wait!" a voice from behind Link yelled, just as he was on the border of entering the forest.

Link turned to find Soothe running to him.

She handed over a short sword in a sheathe "It will be dangerous in there, you had better take this with you."

Link nodded, he hung the sheathe over his back so it hung over his left shoulder, he gave her a smile that said thanks.

"And this too." she handed over a bottle of red potion. "Just in case, come back safely."

Link nodded in understanding and proceeded to enter the forest.

Konbei directed his attention to where Steven was looking. "I saw that yesterday when we were attacked..." he said. "Maybe it knows something?"

(I'll see what I can do.)

Steven squinted his eyes at the wisp of purple flame with suspiscion. "I don't know if we can get an answer out of it. Let's see..." he said cautiously walking up to it.

He would feel foolish if he tried to speak to the seemingly inanimate object, so he just stared at it with curiosity.

Konbei stood next to Steven and shrugged. He cleared his throat and tried speaking to it. "Hey...?" He said, immediately feeling stupid, but it was worth a try. Living in the lost woods, he had heard that sometimes fairies could communicate and if that's what this thing was, some kind of Vitan fairy, maybe it would talk back...

Or so he could only hope.

Ankoku watched in amazement the fairy

The flame descended to face level and began to dance around in the air. It suddenly darted away to the north.

Steven looked at Konbei and hesitantly followed after the mysterious flame.

Gwene looked at Konbei, a mixture of emotions on her face. Excitement, worry, curiousity, they were all present. She then followed after Steven.

Ankoku darted faster remembering the flames which had distracted him back in the fight and surpassed Steven to watch the Fairy.

Kage, not interested in Fairies, sat down on Dodo and kept drinking tea

Steven tried to keep up with this mysterious flame. Being a man of little magical potential, he could only as fast as his armor allowed him. The only reason he hadn't lost sight of the flame was because it was bright like a beacon. He was able to catch up with it after short breaks.

The pursuit became harder as Deku Babas seemed to spring out of the ground and snap at the passerbys. Steven barely avoided these and continued to run. This was getting irritating. Was this flame merely playing with them? He shrugged this thought off and set his eyes on the ghostly purple guide.

Konbei cut at the Deku Babas as he ran past. As he and the others continued to chase it, he began to rethink his assumption that it was some kind of fairy. Where was it leading them? To Zelda hopefully... or something that could bring them closer to her...

The purple flame spiraled around a large tree with large platforms of fungus hanging all over. Steven came to a stop and saw this, and looked for another way forward. Unfortunately, there was a large rapid ahead of them so swimming across was not an option.

Steven sighed and began to slowly hop up the tree by using the fungus.

"Does anyone even know what direction we're heading in?" Konbei said and followed Steven.

Steven steadily balanced himself as he walked across the rapids on a thick tree branch. He climbed down a vine and pursued the purple flame to what seemed to be the end of the woods...

Steven could see the trees diminishing the further they neared the fields up ahead. They were running up a steep hill so what was on the other side was a mystery. The purple flame hovered into the sky and circled the group.

Just on the other side of the hill was Zelda. She was lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious, her clothes were worn and she was covered in grazes and scratches. Her hair was mattered and her crown was missing. There was no one else in sight; anyone would have thought she had been dumped.

"Oh my god, Zelda!" she shrieked in both surprise and fear, she then ran to her side.

Link had been walking along the dirt path, he come to a split, one sign pointed towards Hyrule, the other lead further into the forest, it read "Auster Shrine"

Steven rushed over as well, but kept his distance and his guard up. Why would the kidnappers just leave her here, the Princess of Hyrule? It was an insult, if not suspicious, to do something like this. The kidnappers had to pay...

Steven took a few more steps forward, and kept his hand on the hilt of his silver sword as his eyes moved from left to right. He looked up at the eerie flame which was still circling around Zelda like a vulture in the sky.

"Gwene, careful," Konbei said. He went a little closer to her but kept his distance.

Up close, Gwene would have noticed that Zelda's skin was pasty and very pale. She didn't appear to be breathing...

"Zelda?" Gwene asked, her voice a little quieter. She noticed something was wrong with her, could this be a trap?

Zelda's eyes suddenly flew open and her chest heaved as she fought to breath.

Gwene fell back on to her rear in surprise.
