The Legend of Zelda: The Sacred Dragons

(So now it fades to black?)

(Yep. And now, Steven is wherever you wish him to be.)

Slowly his senses came back to him, all but sight, as his eyes were still closed, his head hurt a little. Link then opened his eyes and looked around him, he felt his head and felt it was covered in bandage's, he then jerked remembering why he was here.

A young woman with sleek black hair and sapphire coloured eyes went to Link's side "Take it easy, you have a pretty big bump on the head."

Link stared at her in awe, who was this beautiful woman? And why was she helping him?

"You're in Viridi Village. Your friends bought you here in bad shape, I treated your injuries and you have been asleep since yesterday." the young woman said.

Link couldn't help but smile, it gave off the impression he was very thankful for what she had done for him.

"Your friends said your name was Link." the young woman said "My name is Soothe." she held a hand out for Link.

Link took it and shook it.

"Your friends are out in the forest searching for someone." Soothe said "If you are feeling up to it, you could go out and join them, but the forest has become quite dangerous recently, it would be safe to take a shield with you."

Link climbed from the bed, and pulled on his boots, and leather gauntlets that were sitting on a nearby table, fastening his belt, his weapons amiss. He looked to Soothe for an answer.

"One of your friends is still here in the village." Soothe said "If you go and find her, she might be able to answer some of your questions about what happened."

Link nodded, he gave her a bow of thanks and proceeded to leave.

"If you ever need healing, or some advice about the country, feel free to stop by again." Soothe said to Link as he left.

Link picked his cap off of a hook by the door, he looked back and gave her a nod that he would. He put his cap on and left Soothe's home.

In an underground dungeon in the desert region of Vita, Orla drummed her fingers on the arm of her elaborate chair, while Nafre and slung herself over the backrest and fallen asleep.

Orla stared at the princess in front of her, suspended in mid air and still unconscious. Her eyes moved to the hand where her silk glove had been torn away to reveal her Triforce mark. Orla inwardly smiled when she she saw the mark; it was her key to breaking the seal and freeing her ancestor. 

Link walked through the peaceful little farm village, many of them stared at him as he walked. The reason for this was because of his ears, Link, like many of his companions, was Hylian and his ears were pointed, they were all human, so their ears were round.

Link searched until he saw a familiar face, it was Gwene. "Link, you're up. How are you doing?"

Link gave a nod to say he was fine, he went on to ask what had happened and where his weapons were.

"Oh." the bright look on Gwene's face dropped. "Zelda has been kidnapped by an unknown assailant. Many of the others are in the forest trying to find her, except Sergius, he went to the capital with the representatives to explain the situation." she paused "As for your weapons, when we were bringing you back, they fell off of your person, and we needed to get you to safety first. I went back to get them later, but they weren't there, something, or someone must have taken them."

Link nodded in understanding.

Gwene looked at the forest, which the village was on the border of. "The villagers say the forest has become quite dangerous, so it might pay to find a shield before venturing into the forest." she reached into her wallet "Here is 30 rupees to get you started, they use the same currency as us, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem."

Link took the rupees and put them in his own wallet.

"If you need anything, it might pay to talk to the mayor, while we are searching the forest for Zelda, he has very generously given us accommodation, and he is very wise and helpful." she pointed to the big house in the middle of the village "He lives there. I am going to go into the forest to continue to search for Zelda." she then took of running into the forest.

Link watched her to and proceeded to the shop to buy a shield for protection.

"This is useless, she's long gone," Konbei said as he trudged through the forest, looking for any signs of Zelda or who kidnapped her.

"Keep looking. This is the Princess of Hyrule we're looking for, so no way in hell am I letting those fiends get away with her..." Steven said back to Konbei. He searched diligently for an entrance to any hideouts, even going as far to search the ground for manholes. "I knew coming here was a bad idea..." he muttered to himself as looked for other signs that may lead them to the kidnappers. "lf it turns out that the royal family of Vita is in on this...Hyrule will cry for war, and I will be the one leading the charge."

Link made his way to the shop and entered, a variety of items were available, and Link happened across a Wooden Shield, he pointed to it, clearly wanting to purchase it.

"That will be 40 rupees." the store owner said.

Link looked at the 30 in his hand, he turned and left the store, in search of 10 more rupees.

"You really think the Vitan royals could be to blame?" Konbei said, thinking about the possibilites. It was a plausable theory; they had invited Zelda to their country in the first place...

Ankoku instead was now showering Steven with thanks due to having saved him from Naifre's venom which had overloaded his nervous system in the end.

Kage shook his head: "If there was a royalty, they would have waited for the Princess to be in their palace to diverge suspicions"

Steven simply nodded at all of the thanks that Ankoku gave to him. He would have politely accepted it, if the situation weren't so urgent...

"That maybe so, but we can't let them off the hook so easily." Steven replied to Kage Yami. Coming to a stop, he stroked his short blonde beard as his eyes scanned the area. He was no detective, but what else could he do? He wouldn't give up the search, that's for sure.

The knight let his hand drop from his beard, holding it below his chin as his attention was diverted to something small and bright in the distance...

Kage nodded.

"Of course you have a point.... I simply state it might be unlikely", Kage admitted with a shrug

The phenomenon that Steven just witnessed retreated behind a tree. He stared at the said tree for a little while before going back to the search. Steven shook his head. How could he get distracted by mere light shows at a time like this?!

Konbei noticed Steven has been distracted by something. "What?" he said, looking in the same direction. "See something?"

"It was nothing, probably just a fairy..." Steven answered. He sighed and ran a hand through his wavy hair in stress.

Konbei sighed and kept looking, but it wasn't long before something caught his eye; a dirtied tear of silk laying on the ground. He picked it and realized it was part of a glove, and definitely Zelda's.

"Hey I found something," Konbei said. "A piece of her glove, at least we know she was here at some point..."

Steven walked over and took it from Konbei's hands, examining it. "Yes, one step closer to bringing justice down on those brutes..." he said as gave Konbei back the piece of silk and continued walking.

(Indeed it is.)

Steven scanned the ground for more clues as he walked on.

(I thought so... Didn't wanna assume anything and make an idiot of myself -__- I'll post soon I promise... Easter family shit. Fml)

Link walked back into the shop with an extra 10 rupee's he had earned after helping to catch an old ladies cuckoo's. He handed onver 40 rupee's and the shop owner handed over a Wooden Shield to Link. He took it and looked over it, it was quite thick, it had a design of a dragon on the front.

"Be careful with that shield, it will burn if caught on fire." the shop owner explained.

Link nodded in understanding, he holstered the shield on his back and left, he then began to walk into the forest.

Gwene had caught up with Konbei and Steven "Any luck with the search?" she asked in a hopeful voice.
